Veteran Hindi Film Actor Shashi Kapoor Passed Away At 79

Of course, we all remember the dialogue and the great personality behind this~ SHASHI KAPOOR who contributed to Indian Film Industry since 1941 to 1999.
But sadly, at the age of 79 today, he took his last breath. However, he was suffered from prolonged illness and administered several rounds of dialysis at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.
The legendary actor was married to late English actress Jennifer Kendal, with whom he established Prithvi Theatre in 1978 and survived by three children, sons Kunal Kapoor and Karan Kapoor and a daughter Sanjana, who takes care of the Prithviraj Theatre.

Shashi was the youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor and made his debut from 1961’s film Dharamputra. While before making his debut as an actor, Shashi began work as an assistant director on Sunil Dutt’s debut film, Post Box 999.
Born as Balbir Raj Kapoor, he took his screen name as “Shashiraj”, instead of using his original name. And, the veteran actor is not limited to Indian films as in 1961 he began working in English films too.
Kapoor, is the part of the well known films like ‘Deewaar’ (1975), ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ (1978), ‘Junoon’ (1978), ‘Shaan’ (1980), and ‘Namak Halaal’ (1982) and also awarded with the Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
